Requesting the Joint Committee on the Judiciary to make a study of the state employees grievance procedure.

Whereas, The grievance procedure has evolved since 1988 to a more efficient system to remedy worksite differences; and
Whereas, More improvement is needed to expedite cases in a more timely manner; therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Delegates:
That the Joint Committee on the Judiciary report to the regular session of the Legislature, 1998, on its findings, conclusions and recommendations; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the expenses necessary to conduct this study, to prepare a report and to draft necessary legislation be paid from legislative appropriations to the Joint Committee on the Judiciary.
